Gyruss Level Guide

This was posted badly in the XBOX.com forums, so I cleaned it up a bit. DeadInside247 and I have been working on this old school game. I don't know that this is 100% accurate, but it seemed to be a good starting point for getting through this game.

Level 1: 2 Warps to Neptune

Level Details: Aliens will not fire until after formation in the middle, maximum alien ships 44/45.
1st Wave: 6 O'clock

2nd Wave: 5 O'clock

3rd Wave: 7 O'clock

4th Wave: 12 O'clock

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 2: 1 Warp to Neptune

Level Changes: Aliens will fire from the start as they are forming.

1st Wave: 6 O'clock

2nd Wave: 5 O'clock

3rd Wave: 7 O'clock

4th Wave: 12 O'clock

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 3: Chance Stage

1st Wave: 6 O'clock

2nd Wave: 6 O'clock

3rd Wave: 6 O'clock

4th Wave: 7 O'clock


Level 4: 3 Warps to Uranus

Level Changes: Meteors start after all ships have formed in the middle, maximum alien ships 47/48.

1st Wave: 7 O'clock, Move Counterclockwise to next wave

2nd Wave: 5 O'clock, Move Clockwise to next wave

3rd Wave: 9 O'clock, Move Counterclockwise to next wave

4th Wave: 3 O'clock, Move Clockwise to next wave

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 5: 2 Warps to Uranus

Level Changes: Meteors from the start, barrier's start after the 5th Wave.

1st Wave: 7 O'clock, Move Counterclockwise to next wave

Level Changes: Barriers from the start.

1st Wave: 7 O'clock, Move Clockwise to next wave

4th Wave: 3 O'clock, Move Clockwise to next wave

Level 7: Chance Stage

1st Wave: 8 O'clock. [Shoot 1st 5, then wait for the next 5]

2nd Wave: 6 O'clock. [Shoot 1st 5, slight pause on fire button then Shoot next 5]

3rd Wave: 4 O'clock. [Same method as Wave 1]

4th Wave: 6 O'clock. [Same method as Wave 2]


Level 8: 3 Warps to Saturn

Level Changes: Alien ships and fire power Slightly faster.

1st Wave: 53 Minutes. [Slightly below 11 O'clock]

2nd Wave: 17 Minutes. [Slightly past 3 O'clock]

3rd Wave: 32 Minutes. [Slightly past 6 O'clock]

4th Wave: 4 O'clock.

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 9: 2 Warps to Saturn

1st Wave: 53 Minutes. [Slightly below 11 O'clock]

2nd Wave: 17 Minutes. [Slightly past 3 O'clock]

3rd Wave: 32 Minutes. [Slightly past 6 O'clock]

Level 10: 1 Warp to Saturn

1st Wave: 53 Minutes. [Slightly below 11 O'clock]

2nd Wave: 17 Minutes. [Slightly past 3 O'clock]

3rd Wave: 32 Minutes. [Slightly past 6 O'clock]

4th Wave: 4 O'clock.

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 11: Chance Stage

1st Wave: 9 O'clock. [Single weapon Slightly below 9 O'clock for the 1st 5 in center, then wait at 9 O'clock for the last 5]

2nd Wave: 6 O'clock & 12 O'clock. [Shoot what you can at 6 then spin round for the rest at 12]

3rd Wave: 3 O'clock. [Single weapon Slightly above 3 O'clock for the 1st 5 in center, then wait at 3 O'clock for the last 5]

4th Wave: 12 O'clock & 6 O'clock.[Shoot what you can at 12 then spin round for the rest at 6]


Level 12: 3 Warps to Jupiter

1st Wave: 12 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

2nd Wave: 7 O'clock. Move Clockwise to next wave

3rd Wave: 9 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

4th Wave: 7 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 13: 2 Warps to Jupiter

1st Wave: 12 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

2nd Wave: 7 O'clock. Move Clockwise to next wave

4th Wave: 7 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

Level 15: Chance Stage

1st Wave: 8 O'clock

2nd Wave: 9 & 6 O'clock. [Shoot 5 or more at 9 then spin round for the rest at 6]

3rd Wave: 9 & 12 O'clock. [Shoot some at 9 the rest at 12]

4th Wave: 3 & 12 O'clock. [Shoot 5 or more at 3 then spin round for the rest at 12]


Level 16: 3 Warps to Mars

Level Changes: Alien ships fire a lot more, try not to stay in same place as there are alot of kamikaze ships, use small circular movements after the waves are finished.

1st Wave: 2 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

2nd Wave: 9 O'clock. Move Clockwise to next wave

3rd Wave: 2 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

4th Wave: 9 O'clock. Move Clockwise to next wave

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 17: 2 Warps to Mars

1st Wave: 2 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

2nd Wave: 9 O'clock. Move Clockwise to next wave

3rd Wave: 2 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

Level 18: 1 Warp to Mars

1st Wave: 2 O'clock. Move Counterclockwise to next wave

Level 19: Chance Stage

This Chance Stage Level is similar to Level 7 and quiet easy.

1st Wave: 3 O'clock

2nd Wave: 12 & 6 O'clock

3rd Wave: 9 O'clock

4th Wave: 6 O'clock


Level 20: 3 Warps to Earth

Level Changes: Alien ships move extremely fast and it is very difficult to shoot them before they reach the center. Also when the Wave is heading to the center if you stay still for any amount of time they will kamikaze. Each Wave will split into 2 groups of 5. Maximum ships 50. Use the hit and run method.

1st Wave: 5 O'clock 5 ships & 7 O'clock 5 ships

2nd Wave: 8 O'clock 5 ships & 10 O'clock 5 ships

3rd Wave: 2 O'clock 5 ships & 4 O'clock 5 ships

4th Wave: 11 O'clock 5 SHIPS & 1 O'clock 5 ships

5th Wave: Random Spawn Points


Level 21: 2 Warps to Earth

1st Wave: 5 O'clock 5 ships & 7 O'clock 5 ships

2nd Wave: 8 O'clock 5 ships & 10 O'clock 5 ships

3rd Wave: 2 O'clock 5 ships & 4 O'clock 5 ships

Microosft Contenet License Transfer Tool

Ok, I don't know anyone here that has not had their console replaced. Microsoft has released the tool to transer your licenses for downloaded content to your new console. It is free, and took me under five minutes.

Shame on me!

I fogot to post this picture of the 4000 Point Gamer Card I got for Owning Davem3 TF's Old Spice Challenge over at 360 Voice earlier this year. I know CoxieTBC will love seeing this card posted, she was so very happy for me when I won.

Microsoft's Impossible Scratch!

If you follow my blog, over at 360voice.com, you've probablly noticed I've played an excessive number of days of Call Of Duty 4. Recently my 360 decided that it didn't like the Call Of Duty 4 DVD being in the drive, and started making awful grinding sounds and then the game started loading slowly, then some maps would not load. When I took out the disc, it had circular scratchs going round and round. You know, the kind that Microsoft said it was impossible to create when the console first launched.

So I took the box to Game Crazy and swapped out out for a brand new box. I also had them polish my Call Of Duty 4 disc so it will play better. So far the new combination worked completely last night. Much better. And I got the box with the newer processor and heatsink, so maybe my third XBOX 360 will be the last one I need.
